Welcome to The Over Correction.
As the title of this blog suggests, life seems to be one over correction after another. Everything we do seems to be as a direct response to a past event. If the prior event was good, we build on it exponentially (i.e. an over correction) and if it was bad we do something drastically different (i.e. another over correction). Essentially, everything is an over correction.
Everything is measured in today’s society. The explosion in social media means nothing is sacred anymore. Gone are the days when you could tell a story and not have to prove it happened by posting it on Facebook. Coupled with the need to create an illusion that you are having so much more fun than you actually are, just seems so utterly moronic.
As such, more than ever, we feel the need to follow this famous quote :
“We buy things we don’t need, with money we don’t have, to impress people we don’t like”
All I can say is its f*cking right. I am no exception. I get caught up in this quote and sometimes it pisses me off. Hence, the over correction (as you will soon see).
